Minor gang-raped by neighbours in front of brother in UP’s Muzaffarnagar, 3 held

The police in Uttar Pradesh’s Muzaffarnagar have arrested three persons for allegedly gang-raping a 15-year-old girl in front of her younger brother.

According to a report in the incident took place on Saturday in Muzaffarnagar. The children’s parents were out for a family event in another village when a neighbour entered their house and saw the children sleeping, the complaint filed by the girl’s father said. The accused pointed a gun at the girl and opened the door to let his three friends inside.

The accused persons then raped the girl while holding her 12-year-old brother at gunpoint, threatening to kill him if he made a sound. They also shot a video of the crime and threatened the girl that they would make it go viral if she complained.

Later, the brother called up their parents who rushed back and found their daughter lying unconscious. According to the girl’s father, when they confronted the parents of the accused, they were threatened with getting killed if they escalated the matter.

The girl’s medical report has confirmed rape, the police said. “An FIR was registered on the basis of the complaint. The girl’s medical examination was done. Five teams have been formed for investigation,” the police said in a statement.

The police said the accused persons managed to escape after the incident but three of them have been nabbed. Search is underway for the fourth accused.
