Train services resume: How to book tickets on IRCTC website, mobile app
Indian government and Ministry of Railways has announced that train services will resume starting May 12 and people will be able to book train tickets starting 4 pm on May 11. Passenger train services will resume after a gap of close to 50 days. Going by the announcement, a total of 15 pair of trans will start from New Delhi and these trains will stop at Dibrugarh, Agartala, Howrah, Patna, Bilaspur, Ranchi, Bhubaneswar, Secunderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Thiruvananthapuram, Madgaon, Mumbai Central, Ahmedabad, and Jammu Tawi and return to New Delhi.
Also, it is important to know that tickets will only be available to book via IRCTC website and not by standing into a long queue at the railway station’s window. Another important thing to note is that passengers with only confirmed tickets will be allowed to enter the railway station.
Here’s how to book train tickets online.
1.Open IRCTC website and login using IRCTC login credentials
2.Enter destination station and arrival station details and search for the trains
3.Choose the trains and select the AC class (as not sleeper or general bogies are available with these trains)
4.Now, enter name, age, sex and other necessary details and proceed for payment
5.Make the payment to complete the booking.
