Central Railway Recruitment 2019-20 has released the job notification for Act Apprentice in various trades with 2562 vacancies and Sports Persons for 21 vacancies against Sports Quota for the Year 2019-20. Candidates with the qualification of ITI in relevant trade can apply for Apprentices job and candidates with 12th/ITI/Any Degree can apply for Sports Quota post. Central Railway: It is one of the 18 zones of Indian Railway. Its headquarters is in Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus at Mumbai. It was formed on 5 November 1951 by grouping several government-owned railways. It has the credit of operating first passenger railway line in India. In earlier, it includes large parts of Madhya Pradesh and part of southern Uttar Pradesh, which made it the largest railway zone in India in terms of area, track mileage and staff

Central Railway Apprentice – Selection Process:

Selection will be based on the merit list. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of percentage of marks in matriculation (with minimum 50% aggregate marks) + ITI marks in the trade in which Apprenticeship is to be done. The panel will be on the basis of simple average of marks in the matriculation and ITI.

Examination Fee: Rs.100/-

Note: No fee for SC/ ST/ PWD/ Women candidates

Central Railway Recruitment – Selection Process:

The selection process is based on the written test and marks on certification.

  • Written Test – 60 Marks
  • Marks on certificates – 40 Marks

Written Test: 

  • Objective type test will be conducted on the OMR sheet.
  • The question paper will be in English and Hindi.
  • The Written Test will consist of 40 Objective Questions (40 marks)
  • One Essay Type Question (20 marks) relating to Scouts and Guides Organisation and its activities and General Knowledge.
  • There will be 1/3rd of negative marking will be deducted for every wrong answer.

Marks on certificates (40 Marks)

  • Participation/ Service rendered in National Events/ National Jamboree (including All Indian Railway Events): 10 Marks
  • Participation/ Service rendered in State Events/Rallies: 10 marks
  • Specialized Scout/Guides course organized at National/ State/ All Indian Railways level: 10 marks
  • Participation in District Rallies: 10 marks

Application Fee:

  • For Unreserved and OBC candidates: Rs.500/-
  • For SC/ST/PWD, Ex-Servicemen, Women, Minorities and Economically Backward Classes: Rs. 250/-
