Vodafone Idea has announced that it will be offering free Amazon Prime membership to its Idea Nirvana Postpaid subscribers. The telcos are trying to retain their customers from making a switch to the biggest rival Reliance Jio, which is also why their slew of offers seems unending. Idea is now following Airtel and its sibling Vodafone by offering a subscription for online streaming service.
Idea subscribers who have bought Nirvana postpaid plans worth Rs 399 onwards will get complimentary access to Amazon Prime membership for one year. The eligible Idea Nirvana Postpaid plans are of Rs 399, Rs 499, Rs 649, Rs 999, Rs 1,299, and Rs 1,999 will give the subscriber the Amazon Prime membership over and above the bundled benefits.
The Amazon Prime membership comprises free one-day, two-day deliveries and free shipping on Amazon.in, unlimited access to Amazon Music, and Prime Reading on Kindle.
Meanwhile, the Vodafone RED customers will “continue to enjoy access” to Amazon Prime membership following the partnership between Vodafone and Amazon.
Commenting on this collaboration, Avneesh Khosla, Operations Director Marketing, Vodafone Idea said “Through this strategic relationship with Amazon Prime, we are further strengthening our content proposition and our commitment to offer the best to our customers. It provides them access to an extensive library of diverse and high-quality original content – thousands of movies, videos, TV shows and ad-free music on the go.”
