A young Dalit girl was raped for three days by four men, including two who raped her on the pretext of helping her reach her home in the Dewas district, 153 km southwest of the state capital, Bhopal, police said. . Police arrested the four defendants on Saturday.

Sajjan Singh Mukati, a police inspector from the city of Nemawar, said: “The 15-year-old victim had gone to Indore, 40 km from her house, alone, without informing her parents on July 16 to meet a man, but she did not find it … She got on a bus the same day to return to her home in Dewas, but fell asleep during the bus ride, and when she woke up, she found herself in the city of Nasrullahganj in Sehore, 150 km away. his house, on July 17. Bus driver Ishwar Jat assured the girl that he had helped her and took her to a secluded place where she raped the victim all night, leaving her in a desert place after the crime. ”
The inspector said: “The girl was looking for help in the city to return home when two young girls, Sanjay Meena and Gopal Meena, offered to help her and took her to a school building where they kept her captive and a gang raped her for two days. She, somehow, managed to escape from school and came to a neighboring town where she met a person with whom she shared her terrible experience and asked her to help her. ”
However, Mukati said, on the pretext of helping the girl, the acquaintance took her to a secluded area where he raped her. She was found on a road that passed through the town in poor condition by her father on Friday, Mukati said.
He later filed an FIR with the police against four people.
The police registered the FIR under section 376 (d) (gang rape) and 363 (kidnapping) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), section 3 (attacking a SC / ST woman with the intention of outraging their modesty) of SC / ST Prevention of atrocities Law and section 4 of POCSO (sexual assault with penetration).
