Xiaomi launched its latest offer, Redmi 6 Pro, in China on Sunday night. The budget device is the first in the Redmi range that sports the iPhone’s type X notch display.
The device comes in 3GB of RAM / 32GB of 4GB / 32GB and 4GB / 64GB storage and is priced at CNY 999 (around Rs 10,450), CNY 1,191 (around Rs 12,550) and 1,299 CNY (approximately Rs. 13,650). The smartphone will go on sale in Chinese markets today.
The launch also saw the tech giant launching a Mi Pad 4 tablet with an 8-inch display and a 6000 mAh battery.
Redmi 6 Pro Features
Redmi 6 Pro comes with a 5.84-inch display with a full HD resolution of 1080 * 2280 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19: 9. As mentioned, the device comes with a notched screen iPhone X-like . It has a form factor of 1,149.33mm x 71.68mm x 8.75mm and weighs 178 grams.
It is powered by a Snapdragon 625 octa-core 2.0 GHz processor backed by an Adreno 506 graphics processor. The device comes bundled with 3GB / 4GB RAM and 32GB / 64GB storage variants. The built-in memory can be expanded up to 256 GB via a dedicated memory card slot.
For photography, the camera comes with a dual rear camera configuration with a 12MP + 5MP lens combination. The main camera has an aperture rate of f / 2.2 with a large sensor size of 1.25um pixels. On the front, there is a 5MP camera for selfies, video chat and face-unlock security feature. The cameras are AI compatible and have features such as AI, PDAF and HDR portrait mode.
Other features of the dual-SIM phone include VoLTE 4G compatibility, dual-band Wi-Fi with support for most main tapes, Bluetooth 4.2, micro-USB, 3.5mm audio jack, accelerometer, compass, gyroscope, among others. The smartphone is powered by a 4000 mAh battery and runs on MIUI 9 OS from Xiaomi based on Android 8.1. It is available in black, blue, gold, pink and red.
Although the company has not mentioned an official date when the phone will be launched in India, it is widely assumed that the phone will arrive in two months. The device can be launched with Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A smartphones.
